I write blogs for different reasons. They’re always about memorable events that I feel like had a specific impact on me. This young couple, Kelsey and Zach, really surprised me. It’s not often I don’t play any music later than the 80’s, but their old souls led me down a refreshing path of pop, rock and soul, all from eras long past. While I initially struggled with the idea of leaving Bruno Mars behind for a night, it was clear that Kelsey KNEW her crowd. Her flexibility with considering my suggestions was so appreciated and together we were able to curate a playlist that absolutely rocked. A very humid day gave way to imposing thunderstorms right as the ceremony began in the Church of the Advent on Beacon Hill. By the time cocktail hour began, though, the sun came back to greet the guests as they stepped onto the beautiful garden patio. Although muggy in the church’s Moseley Hall, guests danced enthusiastically, gleefully and willingly sweating the night away! I love events that challenge me and force me to mix things I don’t usually get to play. Kelsey and Zach were an awesome couple with a very kind group of friends who simply like good music! I was lucky to be there! My good friend Shane Godfrey was onsite for the professional photography. I highly recommend him as a fun and talented photographer for your wedding!
