Ever stop to wonder what goes on the brilliant minds of our MHT talent? Well, here’s a glimpse!
1) If you had to be trapped in an elevator with one deceased artist or band, who would it be and what two questions would you ask them?
Bowie. I would ask him how could he leave us when we need him more than ever.
2) Most unusual song request asked by a guest?
“Whipping Post” by The Allman Bros at a full-on dance party. There seemed to be no recognition that this song would end the dance party completely.
3) An embarrassing moment at work?
A dancing guitarist is going to split his pants every once in a while. It’s just part of the deal-a time honored part of show business tradition.
4) You’re so excited when you see what you get for dinner at an event-what is it?
Silverware. I can’t tell you how often there’s a full band on a very short break, with meals in front of them and no silverware.
5) Least favorite request?
“Shout” at the beginning of the night. That goes at the end. Everybody knows it goes at the end, and yet people start requesting it as soon as they are on the dance floor. What they don’t realize is; once we have played “Shout,” we are legally required to leave and drive home. It’s a Musician’s Union thing.
