Dakeya Christmas

Everything was PERFECT!!!! We truly felt so lucky to have both. [harpist] Lizary and [DJ] Dakya there — they really set the tone for the night and couldn’t have been more perfect!

DJ Dakeya Christmas was professional, warm, and very receptive to our music requests/preferences. He was very clearly experienced in sensing the mood of the audience and getting our guests out of their seats and onto the dance floor during the reception. He was a joy to work with!

We highly recommend Murray Hill!! We had the honor of Dakeya Christmas DJ’ing our wedding. People could not wait to get to the dance floor and once the dancing portion of the evening began, it was packed until the very end!! I truly haven’t seen such an engaged crowd at any other wedding I’ve been to. Guests across all ages & dancing comfort levels had the best time. DJ’ing is one of those wedding decisions where you really have to put faith in the vendor you select and you can’t really preview the experience until the day of. That’s what made Dakeya so wonderful — we felt great trust in his ability to create an unforgettable evening of music. Murray Hill Talent was easy to work with. My Wife and I found the DJ video interviews to be unique and made selecting someone to work with a great and easy experience. I will admit there is so much to art of DJ’ing that I can’t begin to speak to it. What I can say is Murray Hill Talent and our DJ Dakeya Christmas took all of the questions out of the process from scheduling to day of, to dance floor details. The amount of knowledge and experience was truly impressive as was the professionalism. Everything went perfectly as planned and we trusted Dakeya to use his judgement on requests and found his advice very insightful. One of my Wife’s big wishes for our wedding was dance floor participation. Dakeya not only achieved this but the floor was never empty, he successfully kept the vibe going and everyone had a blast. We have much respect for his work and would highly Dakeya and Murray Hill Talent.

Alyssa and I just got back from our “honeymoon” (the real one was deferred until covid clears up more), where we had lots of time to think about how wonderful our wedding weekend was. I wish that I’d been in a better state of mind to express my sincere appreciation for your DJing on our special weekend, but I got a bit carried away in the fun of the party. It was so fun that you were a good sport all evening, made it an incredibly fun dance party, and enabled my best man’s shenanigans. You and Tom made a great team on October 9th!

We had such an incredible time, and we cannot begin to express how grateful we are for everything you did. Thank you for being so incredibly flexible with the music and coordination of performances on Saturday, for making sure the ceremony music was timed perfectly on Sunday afternoon, and for keeping the dance floor up and jumping all Sunday night. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! Thank you so much once again – thank you for making our celebrations so perfect!

I just wanted to say Dakeya was absolutely amazing! Literally perfect in every way. He knew how to read the room and everyone was dancing all night long. We will be recommending him to everyone we know. We can’t thank you enough for bringing us together!

Dakeya was incredible, really engaged and was able to read the room and play music that kept up the energy all night! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a collaborative and easy DJ to work with.

Tom played guitar beautifully during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner! Dakeya was awesome – he played everything we liked and people were on the dance floor all night (exactly what I had wanted!) Couldn’t have asked for better!

We could not have been happier with having Dakeya as our DJ. First off, he has a great personality – he is super courteous, patient, and helpful during the planning meetings, and during the wedding he was polite and subdued – he didn’t make anything about himself which some DJs in the industry definitely can do. He also is VERY talented when it comes to DJ-ing and really knows how to please everyone with music while also keeping in mind what the bride & groom requested. One of our friends said it was the “best dance floor he had ever been on”. Would 10/10 recommend using Murray Hill Talent and specifically Dakeya as your DJ!

I just want to start off by saying thank you so very much for providing your amazing talent for our special day. You truly were so awesome and exceeded everything we asked for. Thank you for being so accommodating when we asked to extend the grand march. Our family and friends cant stop talking about how awesome you were, and how great the music was.  On top of that we will be writing 5 star reviews for you wherever we can. You were incredible and I want others to know that. We will also make sure to tell our friends and family whoever is in need of a DJ to call for your services, you were wonderful! Thank you so very much Dakeya! Hopefully we will cross paths in the future!

We used Murray Hill for DJ (Dakeya) and wedding ceremony/ cocktail acoustic guitar (Tom). They are attentive, professional and accommodating. These guys are THE BEST! We had a seamless experience with this company, Dakeya and Tom. Dakeya met with us to review our plans. He made suggestions, but was certainly great about using our ideas as well. It was the perfect combo. I highly recommend using this company!!

Dakeya is a great choice. As emcee he kept us steadily moving through each part of the ceremony with no hiccups. As DJ he perfectly blended our requests, avoided our “do not plays” and maintained the energy in the room perfectly throughout the entire night. A pleasure to work with.

Dakeya was amazing. Not only did he read the room and play the perfect music, but he was a true gentleman. He knew EXACTLY how to treat a couple on their wedding day. He was accommodating, extremely pleasant, and it was clear that he was a seasoned professional. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Dakeya Christmas served as our DJ and lighting professional for our reception. He listen and really took the time to discover what it was we were looking for in music. He was spot on! We had a great experience with Murray Hill Talent and worked with DJ Dakeya Christmas. Dakeya was an amazing DJ!! He was so great to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Our ceremony site had some electrical issues and he completely saved the day!!! Dakeya also played the perfect mix of music and was a great MC. We cannot recommend him enough!

We worked with Dakeya Christmas for our wedding. He was awesome. The best!  We needed some mix of English/American music, but also music of the country where the bride was born and Dakeya did a perfect mix so guests from both countries had fun. He was very patient with us as some of our choices we sent to him last minute, he did everything perfectly on the night of. Music was such a natural part of our event which means there were zero mistakes made!

We LOVED Dakeya.  Not only did we love him, our guests did as well and we keep receiving compliments on the music.  Every person was on the dance floor the entire night.  He’s friendly, personable, listened to what we wanted played, and was flexible.  Can’t say enough good things about him.

We loved our DJ! We had Dakeya Christmas. He listened to us and what we wanted. We had a phone conversation beforehand and I got the sense that he really knows his stuff. We had a wicked fun party! He has a sense of what to play and when, which is what anyone really wants in a DJ. 😀

DJ Dakeya Christmas played at our wedding after party this May at Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod and he was AMAZING! He showed up at 10 pm after our guests had been on the dance floor for hours and kept the party going until 1 am! He was able to read the crowd completely, and was totally receptive to our requests and feedback throughout the night. A HUGE thanks to DJ Christmas and the Murray Hill Talent team!!
