Dakeya Christmas

We highly recommend Murray Hill!! We had the honor of Dakeya Christmas DJ’ing our wedding. People could not wait to get to the dance floor and once the dancing portion of the evening began, it was packed until the very end!! I truly haven’t seen such an engaged crowd at any other wedding I’ve been to. Guests across all ages & dancing comfort levels had the best time. DJ’ing is one of those wedding decisions where you really have to put faith in the vendor you select and you can’t really preview the experience until the day of. That’s what made Dakeya so wonderful — we felt great trust in his ability to create an unforgettable evening of music. He listened carefully to us about all our needs & the outcome exceeded our expectations. Look no further than Murray Hill Talent & Dakeya!

Murray Hill Talent was easy to work with. My Wife and I found the DJ video interviews to be unique and made selecting someone to work with a great and easy experience. I will admit there is so much to art of DJ’ing that I can’t begin to speak to it. What I can say is Murray Hill Talent and our DJ Dakeya Christmas took all of the questions out of the process from scheduling to day of, to dance floor details. The amount of knowledge and experience was truly impressive as was the professionalism. Everything went perfectly as planned and we trusted Dakeya to use his judgement on requests and found his advice very insightful. One of my Wife’s big wishes for our wedding was dance floor participation. Dakeya not only achieved this but the floor was never empty, he successfully kept the vibe going and everyone had a blast. We have much respect for his work and would highly Dakeya and Murray Hill Talent.

Alyssa and I just got back from our “honeymoon” (the real one was deferred until covid clears up more), where we had lots of time to think about how wonderful our wedding weekend was. I wish that I’d been in a better state of mind to express my sincere appreciation for your DJing on our special weekend, but I got a bit carried away in the fun of the party. It was so fun that you were a good sport all evening, made it an incredibly fun dance party, and enabled my best man’s shenanigans. You and Tom made a great team on October 9th!

We had such an incredible time, and we cannot begin to express how grateful we are for everything you did. Thank you for being so incredibly flexible with the music and coordination of performances on Saturday, for making sure the ceremony music was timed perfectly on Sunday afternoon, and for keeping the dance floor up and jumping all Sunday night. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ! Thank you so much once again – thank you for making our celebrations so perfect!

I just wanted to say Dakeya was absolutely amazing! Literally perfect in every way. He knew how to read the room and everyone was dancing all night long. We will be recommending him to everyone we know. We can’t thank you enough for bringing us together!

Dakeya was incredible, really engaged and was able to read the room and play music that kept up the energy all night! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a collaborative and easy DJ to work with.

Tom played guitar beautifully during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner! Dakeya was awesome – he played everything we liked and people were on the dance floor all night (exactly what I had wanted!) Couldn’t have asked for better!

We could not have been happier with having Dakeya as our DJ. First off, he has a great personality – he is super courteous, patient, and helpful during the planning meetings, and during the wedding he was polite and subdued – he didn’t make anything about himself which some DJs in the industry definitely can do. He also is VERY talented when it comes to DJ-ing and really knows how to please everyone with music while also keeping in mind what the bride & groom requested. One of our friends said it was the “best dance floor he had ever been on”. Would 10/10 recommend using Murray Hill Talent and specifically Dakeya as your DJ!
