{"id":5530,"date":"2017-07-28T19:45:25","date_gmt":"2017-07-28T19:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mhtboston.wpengine.com\/event\/?p=5530"},"modified":"2018-03-02T15:59:51","modified_gmt":"2018-03-02T15:59:51","slug":"boston-tall-ship-bands-and-djs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/murrayhilltalent.com\/event\/boston-tall-ship-bands-and-djs\/","title":{"rendered":"Boston Tall Ship Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Tall Ships stopped off in Boston this summer as part of their Rendez-Vous 2017 Regatta. \u00a0Murray Hill Talent was honored to provide of slew of great Bands and DJs for various events in the Seaport District for the festivities. \u00a0 This has been an amazing opportunity for us to be so integrally involved in this exciting week long Boston event. Various entertainers such as <a href=\"http:\/\/murrayhilltalent.com\/event\/dance-bands\/redline\/\">Redline<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/murrayhilltalent.com\/event\/endless-summer\/\">Endless Summer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/murrayhilltalent.com\/event\/djs\/\">Paul Natale<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/murrayhilltalent.com\/event\/background-music\/eastern-standard\/\">Eastern Standard<\/a> performed from a variety of staging areas in front of \u00a0select restaurants near Northern Avenue such as <a href=\"https:\/\/remysseaport.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tony C&#8217;s<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whiskey-priest.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Whiskey Priest<\/a>. \u00a0Groups also performed right in the middle of Northern Avenue on the Admirals Stage. \u00a0Equipment had to be brought in prior to the weekend due to the intense security screening and pedestrian\/car traffic.<\/p>\n<p>One performance in particular seemed to stand out. \u00a0Popular dance band <a href=\"http:\/\/www.murrayhilltalent.com\/wedding\/boston-band\/redline\/\">Redline<\/a> performed Sunday, 6\/18\/17 at the Admiral&#8217;s Stage on Northern Avenue. \u00a0We talked to the band director Ken Freeman about the event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The band said they started their set with the hope of getting a few people up and dancing but assuming that because people were there to see the ships that we might not have a huge dancing crowd. Not only was I wrong but when we looked out from the stage we could see not just the visitors for the event but also large groups of the staff and vendors smiling, dancing and singing along to the songs. Playing a wide variety of songs is fun and we are used to high energy dance sets and love to get people up and dancing but we had a sweet moment watching a young couple slow dance to \u201cLike I\u2019m going to lose you\u201d which absolutely made my day.<\/p>\n<p>The view from the front of the stage was the park but behind us were all of these amazing tall ships!
