I spent the\u00a04th of July\u00a0this year down on the Cape at the Ridge Club in Sandwich, MA. \u00a0A cool spot. \u00a0 Sometimes I forget\u00a0about the natural wooded\u00a0beauty that the Cape has to offer. Cape Cod doesn\u2019t always have to mean beach beach beach!<\/p>\n

The Ridge Club puts on a great family fun day for all of its members. \u00a0They set up a huge replication of Fenway Park,\u00a0children\u2019s entertainment, a\u00a0tennis exhibition and tons of food
\nOur company put together entertainment for the kids (face painters ) and I DJed for the picnic. \u00a0Mostly played lots of fun,\u00a0family friendly music\u00a0throughout the day. \u00a0Classic rock, current hits, fun listening tunes and throw backs. \u00a0 Some people\u00a0danced throughout the day some just kicked\u00a0back and listened. \u00a0I took requests and just had a lot of fun with the guests.
\nAt the end, the country club put on a full professional fireworks show. Playing music for Fireworks shows are always\u00a0interesting. \u00a0You have to sort\u00a0of build the excitement level in a way that coincides with the fireworks display. \u00a0 Patriotic songs\u00a0are a no brainer of course, but its also helpful to\u00a0mix in lots of other things. \u00a0 Moody, atmospheric, energetic, classical, top\u00a040, classic rock and even folk music intertwine in a patriotic sonic\u00a0bouillabaisse ! \u00a0I often take note of how many songs that\u00a0are normally perceived as \u201cPro-American\u201d are not as Nationalistic as meets the eye.<\/p>\n
