Chances are good that by now you’re familiar with the Silent Disco phenomenon! You know, everyone receives a pair of headphones with multiple channels and each channel plays different genres from different DJs. But when you take off the headphones, all you hear is your fellow partygoers singing along to their favorite songs. No speakers, no blaring music, and YOU control your own volume! Silent Disco is unique and interactive but also an excellent solution if some guests are more comfortable mingling and chatting and others can’t wait to hit the dance floor. Additionally, this is a great ice breaker for corporate events as people tend to form groups based on common music interests.
Murray Hill Talent DJs Scott Arrington and Dakeya Christmas performed at a Silent Disco fundraiser for the Endometriosis Foundation They raise money annually for the foundation on behalf of a fallen friend who battled the disease for many years before losing her life in a car crash in 2018. With the event being at a smaller venue, Silent Disco was the perfect way to throw a killer party without overwhelming guests with high volume. The DJs also take up less space with the absence of speakers. We got some amazing professional pictures from photographer Matt Frank and I was able to get some video and snapshots from behind the decks! The event took place at the Winnisimmet Lounge in Chelsea, MA.
