I’ve done a lot of new car unveilings in my day, but this one was by far the coolest! Murray Hill Talent fell in with Herb Chambers to provide entertainment for Kyle Van Noy’s charity fundraiser. Naturally, they called on us again when it was time to reveal the first ever Rolls Royce SUV. Our popular DJ/live music ensemble, Solstice, put on a show that no one is likely to forget. We were inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Back Bay. They had driven the car in through the Prudential Center the night before, which is awesome all on its own! I spun modern, atmospheric tracks while our electric violinist and sax player put down some serious instrumentals. We had orchestrated the unveiling ahead of time. The violinist, Emily, would stand next to the car with the drape attached to her waist. She and I worked out a track that would build massive energy in the room. As she played, she would begin walking, at the same time pulling off the drape and revealing the car. Everything went off without a hitch! This musical crescendo, accompanied by how awe inspiring the car is… it was simply amazing! Check out the pictures and video! This SUV has the fanciest “picnic basket” in the back of it. Real silverware, crystal champagne glasses! Are you kidding!? So cool.
The soundtrack was important at this event. Sophistication was simply in the air and the beats needed to match. Solstice is the perfect compliment to an event as upscale as this. It’s unobtrusive yet engaging and sophisticated. If you want something that will impress your guests but still allow them to mingle and chat, this is the perfect option. Solstice performs in a number of different configurations and can accommodate events of all sizes. It is particularly awesome if you’re unsure whether or not people will dance, as the DJ can take over alone if your guests get the itch! Check out the Solstice hyperlink to see more information! Vrrroooom!
