Murray Hill Talent’s exclusive band The Proper Bostonians were the featured entertainment at “Swanapalooza”, the end of session reception for the Solid Waste Association of North America. SWANA is an organization of professionals committed to advancing from solid waste management to resource management through their shared emphasis on recycling, education, advocacy and research. They held their annual meeting at the Hynes Convention Center to answer the important question: where does all our garbage go?
The Proper Bostonians play a mix of classic rock based on the rich musical heritage of New England with favorites by Aerosmith, The Cars, J Geils Band, Talking Heads, etc and the band was happy to be joined onstage by event organizer Phillip Goddard who rescued an electric guitar from the local dump and sourced “junk” parts to bring it back to life. Phillip’s recycled guitar was certainly the highlight of the night.
