Virtue Band boasts two professional lead vocalists alongside a seasoned rhythm and brass section that share a passion for live music and quality entertainment. Virtue features Lead Vocalist Jason Shorter. Jason is a seasoned performer who has captivated and entertained audiences at countless private engagements, in some of Boston’s top sought after venues. His smooth voice is inspired by R&B legends, Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, and Donny Hathaway. At 17 years old, he performed on “It’s Showtime at the Apollo” in NY, where he won three shows ending the season as the reigning champ. Jason is a national recording artist who has gained recognition by performing his music and landing on Billboards top 100 R&B Single Sales, charting for 16 weeks! He also appeared on American Idol’s Season 9, making it from the Boston auditions to Hollywood.
The bands standard 7pc configuration consists of a male and female vocalist, keyboardist, drummer, guitarist, bass guitarist and saxophonist. We can also increase the size of the band at the request of the client.
