Nothing inspires a musician like performing in a room full of timeless masterworks by some of the greatest painters the world has ever known. Our popular DJ/Musician group Solstice, performed for an event in the European Master Room of the Museum of Fine Arts a few weeks ago. Everyone had a great time playing the event and the guests seemed to have fun listening. apart from the usual electronic down tempo buddha bar music the group typically does, we had a few left field requests for songs such as “Straight Outta Compton” and “Nothing’s gonna stop us Now” by Starship! Ha ha. The guests at this one were pretty with it and definitely not stuffy and uptight.
As always, thank you Rebecca for all your hospitality at the Museum (You always make us feel at home).
I just want to say Thank You so much for your part on making the event on Saturday a big success! I have heard nothing but wonderful feedback from our staff, and would like thank you for helping make it come together on such short notice! I feel it was an event that will not soon be forgotten amongst my colleagues! Also, a special thank you for playing Starship and Pink Martini- Greatly appreciated, if not thoroughly random.
Best Wishes, Geoffrey Welch -Celgene, Museum of Fine Arts, 2/25/17
